Collection: FINAL ORDER CUTOFF

*FOC* or *Final Order Cutoff*, is a crucial term in the comic book world that refers to the last chance retailers have to adjust their orders for upcoming comic book releases.

In the comic book industry, publishers like Marvel, DC Comics and Image Comics typically solicit their titles several months in advance, giving retailers the opportunity to place their orders based on the anticipated demand for a particular comic book or graphic novel. These solicitations often include a description of the title, the creative team behind it, and a cover image.

The *Final Order Cutoff is the deadline by which retailers must finalize their orders with their distributors*. This deadline typically falls around three weeks before the release date of the comic book. After this deadline, retailers cannot adjust their orders, and the publisher uses the orders to determine how many copies to print.
